Wells St #300, Chicago, IL 60610 888-461-0114 Our comprehensive, integrated Diploma curriculum is organized in three units: Human Sciences for Massage Therapists and Bodyworkers, Massage and Bodywork, and Professional Development. Material is presented in an innovative, integrated fashion intended to maximize students' retention of knowledge and technique. The curriculum is challenging, creative, and achievable, and empowers the students with confidence to achieve their goals of National Certification, licensing, employment, or personal and professional enrichment. The Massage Diploma program is 600 clock hours long which fulfills the state requirements for massage licensing. The Diploma program provides a quality education which is illustrated by the school's statistics in completion rates, job placement, and National Certification results. Graduates are fully trained to find positions in spas, health clubs, health clinics, or to develop a private practice. New School for Massage, Bodywork & Healing was founded in early 2002 by Emmanuel Bistas, B.S., M.B.A., L.M.T. Having received massage training in the oldest massage school in the country as well as smaller, skill-based massage programs, he saw a void in the skills most schools taught and decided to use his prior service sector experience, his entrepreneurial credentials and his passion for advancing the healing arts to create a new learning environment. The school was a product of extensive massage industry analysis and reviews of massage therapy schools around the country. With small classes limited to twelve students (six students in our clinic), superior faculty with real-life experience, innovative curriculum, and professional development classes, The New School for Massage brings to bodywork education the one-on-one approach that the students will eventually bring to their practice.
