The aging massage therapist.

by Brent
(regina sask.)

I am 43 and currently a massage therapist. I am in excellent shape and enjoy doing massage. I have a chance to go back to school for psychiatric nursing this fall. One of my main motivations is that I am worried about being physically able to continue as a massage therapist when I am older. Statistically, what are the odds that I would be able to do at about 12 massages a week until age 63? Does the general public gravitate to therapists of certain ages?

Answer:
That's a good question but I don't think we have any good statistics on age. I think if you keep yourself healthy there is no reason why you can't continue on until 63 or even longer.
