Sidelying Massage Position with Support Pillows
Massage can help alleviate some of the pain and discomfort associated with pregnancy. Seeing a professional massage therapist is indicated during pregnancy. There are a few places a woman should not receive massage while pregnant, so if you would like to massage your mom-to-be at home, please be aware that further study is required in order to do it properly and safely.
I've had the pleasure of massaging pregnant women before and immediately after giving birth during my time working in a hospital with a birthing center in Michigan. It's an honor to support women as they transition into motherhood for the first time or their 10th time!
My current practice is located near Happy Bambino in the Lake Edge Shopping Center on Monona Drive near Buckeye Road. It's easy to coordinate massage with a prenatal yoga class at Happy Bambino.
Sidelying position with body pillows is how most of my prenatal clients prefer to receive their session. I've also been told I have the warmest massage room in Madison, WI!
Gift certificates are the perfect gift for a mother-to-be!
