Rizzieri School for the Healing Arts- Marlton NJ

(Marlton, NJ, US)

History
The Rizzieri family has been in the business of education since 1924 with their first school founded by Franco Cipriotti located in Camden, NJ and has since been in the forefront of beauty and education. In 1975, the school was relocated to Haddonfield, NJ. It was the explosive growth of the wellness industry that led the Rizzieri family business in a direction.

In 1995, Frank Rizzieri owner and President, wanted to follow in his grandfathers, Franco Cipriotti, footsteps and incorporated his visionary leadership to merge beauty, wellness, and education into a state-of-the-art facility. A three story, full service salon, spa, and educational center emerged in Marlton, NJ to provide the community with quality training programs, consumer workshops, and knowledgeable and dedicated technicians.

In 1998, the increasing demand for qualified massage therapists led to the creation of Rizzieri Institute for Massage Therapy. The popularity of the program enabled the massage school to expand the program to a new building in 2000, within walking distance of the Rizzieri Salon and Spa.

In 2001, the school changed its name to Rizzieri School for the Healing Arts to better reflect the variety of courses offered. Rizzieri School for the Healing Arts continues an open perspective to expand its program curriculum as new modalities and techniques become available, accepted and beneficial in the wellness industry.

Mission Statement
To integrate the art and science of bodywork through interactive classroom settings and to create a dynamic educational experience while nurturing the concept of wellness as a lifestyle.

Philosophy & Objectives
Rizzieri School for the Healing Arts seeks to prepare its students for successful employment through diversified training, professional standards and practical business application. We believe that learning is best facilitated in a safe and nurturing environment. To achieve this, classes are serious and structured, yet relaxed and informal.

Team building exercises encourage cohesiveness during orientation. From this support structure, trust and respect are established to further prepare each student for the unique educational experience in the Healing Arts. We feel that the student’s individual journey of self-discovery is equally as important as their academic education.

Community Outreach is an integral part of the program. Both students and teachers participate in community events designed to promote public awareness of the benefits of massage. In addition, the student clinic provides students with valuable experience to prepare for the workforce with confidence.
