The Reiki Center of Venice School of Massage Therapy and Bodywork received its license from the Florida Department of Education and approval from the Florida Board of Massage Therapy in 2011. The School opened its doors to accept its first massage student on July 11, 2011.

Prior to becoming a school, the Reiki Center of Venice had been teaching continuing education courses to state and national massage therapists, holistic nurses and national athletic trainers. The center has had nearly 2,000 students receiving education from owner, Francine Milford.

Francine Milford is a national and state licensed massage therapist, personal trainer and Reiki Master. She has been in the health field for more than 30 years, having received six certifications in the Fitness Industry and authoring the H2O Workout book series.

Francine and the Reiki Center of Venice received professional status from the National Association of Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) for herself and for the Aromatherapy Courses that she offers.

Francine is a member of the advisory board on alternative medicine at Everglades University in Sarasota. She has finished a 900 hour course on alternative medicine and has been approved by the American Naturopathic Medical Association (ANMA), the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP), and the American Naturopathic Certification Board (ANCB) where she is a Certified Traditional Naturopath (CTN).


In the State of Florida, energy workers are encouragesd to earn a massage therapy license in order to practice their trade. At the Reiki Center of Venice, School of Massage Therapy and Bodyworker, energy workers are encouraged to practice and hone their special skills in a safe and supporting environment while learning the required courses to sit for state examination.

Having served in the community for nearly 20 years, the Center can provide students with connections to future job positions. The center also prides itself in providing the student with job skills and business planning to prepare for their future work.

The Center differs from other schools in the area because the school is owned and operated by a massage therapist with more than 30 years of experience in the area of health and fitness.

The second thing that sets the Center apart is the cost and length of the program. At 500 hours of study, the school offers 4 days a week of training for a 5 month program of study and a great monetary savings.

Students will receive school tee shirts to wear during their time of study at the school. The school promotes a totally professional image. Students will graduate learning the latest methods and techniques offered to the public at expensive spas and resorts. In this way, students will have the confidence and experience to work at top paying spas and clinics-or choose to fill niche markets in their own communities.


Healing involves the body, mind and the spirit. At the Reiki Center of Venice, School of Massage Therapy and Bodywork, students explore all aspects of individual healing. This work includes classes in body, mind and spirit.

Alternative therapies covered at the school include Reiki, Polarity Therapy, Meridians, Chakra Work, Crystal Work, Color Therapy, Bach Flower and much more.


The State of Florida requires students to achieve a passing grade at an approved school offering 500 hours of coursework. The Reiki Center of Venice, School of Massage Therapy and Bodywork, is an approved school in the State of Florida and offers the required courses, along with additional information on being a successful massage therapist.

The School with help students with creating their own business plan, setting career goals, designing promotional material, and more.
