Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy®

Pfrimmer Deep Muscle Therapy ® is a type of deep tissue massage

created by Therese Pfrimmer in the 1940's as a result of her own health challenges with paralysis. After curing herself of paralysis, she studied the body and health until she understood why it had worked and went on to create her own method of applications. She also wrote a book called in Muscles... Your Invisible Bonds a very rare but insightful book.

The two main trainers currently are Ruthann Hobbs of the Therese C. Pfrimmer International Association of Deep Muscle Therapists and Victoria Ross of the International Institute for Corrective Muscle Therapy.

You can find much more information about the history of Pfrimmer® and what you will learn in a training at www.iicmt.com

The theory is that applying specific strokes across the muscle fibers separate the fibers which allowed the lymphatic fluid to return to the muscles which brought back their ability to contract and relax. Ruthann Hobbs of T.C.P.I.A.D.M.T website claims that this technique can be used to correct and prevention serious muscle conditions such as ALS, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Parkinson's, Cerebral Palsy, brain injury and stroke.
