Oncology Massage and Massage Cupping for lyphatic issues

by Susan Hart
(Phoenixville, PA)

I haven't been formally trained in lymph drainage. However I have taken a few courses that directly address the lymphatic system; specifically oncology massage and massage cupping both directly affect the lymphatic system in completely different ways. In the oncology class we learned techniques specific to dealing and accommodating cancer patients dealing with lymphodema complications and effects of chemotherapy and radiation. The massage cupping class (www.massagecupping.com) directly affects the lymph system assisting in moving the lymph using suction and massage combined. I've had a lot of success treating lymphodema and other conditions using massage cupping...and it just feels SOOOO good.
Just my quick thoughts,
Susan Hart, CMT, CMCP
