"mt taking other mt clients"

by peggy
(troy,mi, usa)

what is the ethics regarding massage therapist taking other massage therapist clients?

Answer: Well you don't really give enough information but ethics are really a personal choice and each person has their own code of ethics. Ethics are laws that can be enforced. Associations have codes of ethics are so general and widely interpreted that it is difficult to enforce them in any way.

No one 'owns' a client. Clients come and go. It isn't anything personal but it could be something to work on to retain clients.

If someone 'took' a client from you like as in you are working in a clinic or spa and that client was intended to be on your table, I would confront the other MT directly and bring up your concerns sharing your feelings on it and try not to attack the other person or be defensive.

I am going to post this on my wall on Facebook and see if I can get some other answers. Care to share more details there?
