Massage Websites SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

How to get your website to the top of Google

Massage Websites SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is one of the most important but most neglected part of most massage business websites. SEO is making a website as available as possible to targeted searches. Your most likely keyword is 'massage, your city'. That is what most people will be using to find your massage business website. It is important that your site be on the top of the first page of the Search Engines and more specifically Google! When people who find your site by typing in your keywords you are already way ahead in the business building arena! These people are already looking for massage!

These people are already looking for massage Yes it is worth saying again so you really understand how important this it! When people find you on your own, the are more open to receiving and reading what you are saying. If people find your site or business through an ad - they know they are being marketed to and come in with a certain level of skepticism! So when people find you on their own you have better chances of getting them as your client.

So here are the basics of SEO:

  • Use the keywords that you want to get found for in your domain name. (If you already have a business name you can just get that domain and direct it to your site with the better SEO name!)

  • Use the keywords strategically through out your pages and in the metatags of your site. Metatags are a hidden part of your site. There are 4 parts to a metatag:File Name - the name of your page that will look like www.yourdomain.com/filename.html. Use the keyword as your file name. Use a hyphen if it is a 3 word phrase.

Title - The title of your page. Keywords- Use 4 or so descriptive keywords for your page Description- Describe your site using the keywords.

If you just repeat the keyword and use it in the beginning of each of the metatags in the same exact way it will help! You can take a look at the metatags for this site by going to the top of your browser and clicking on View- then Page Source or something like that depending on what browser you are using.

  • Use the same exact keyword or keyword phrase in the Headline of your page and in the first sentence of your page

  • Use the same exact keyword or keyword phrase a few times throughout your page.

  • Use the same exact keyword in a link that goes to some other place in your site or someplace outside of your site.

  • Research other keywords and Write as much content as you can on those keywords. (Like using a type of massage that you specialize in or an area of town you want to focus on or even the state if you want to reach farther!)
