Massage Therapy Exams

Massage Therapy exams are required to obtain your professional massage license in most states. There are currently two main exams - the National Certification Exam (NCE) offered by the National Certification Board for Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) and the Massage and Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLeX)offered by the Federation of Massage State Boards.

Previously the NCE was the only exam available. After seeing that there were many problems in this exam and the exam process the Federation of Massage State Boards was formed to create another exam. While more states are in accepting the MBLeX, it is not yet accepted in all states and you still have to take the NCE.

Either way you will need to prepare and study to pass your exam to become a licensed massage therapist. There are many books and websites to help you do so but it is becoming too overwhelming to figure out which book or website will help you the most in passing your massage therapy exams.

Here is an overview of the many websites and books that are out there. You can write your own review of each or give a suggestion of another by filling out the form below.
