Massage therapist life

by Lizy
(BROOKLYN, NY)

what equipment and tools does a massage therapist use?
whats a massage therapist home life?
whats so unique about a massage therapist?
who is in charge of you?
are u in charge of anyone else?
is there any procedure utilized for a massage therapist?
how many hrs do u work?
hrs a day?
days a week?
are u required to work overtime?
are u ever on call?

Answer:
All of these questions will vary for each individual person and situation. Basically you can set up your career any way you want.

I personally am self employed and only do about 12 clients a week. Most massage therapists have their own business so you can set it up to work for your life which is one of the good things about being a massage therapist.

As a massage therapist you also get to work with people in a more personal way and develop relationships and help people deal with health issues and stress which is very rewarding.

The basic equipment you need is a massage table and the supplies like sheets and oils/lotions along with any needed pillows/bolsters to support clients.
