Massage Supervision

Massage Supervision can help you in any stage of building your massage business, finding and creating a job or facing challenges in your career. Supervision involves helping you to reflect on your practice by receiving the listening and support you need so that you can essentially create appropriate boundaries and solutions to support your massage career. Supervision is not well known yet in the massage profession. It comes from the psychology profession and is usually a part of the training to become a psychologist. Psychology students and practitioners will use supervision to help with the challenges of boundaries that are so important in the therapeutic relationship. The practice of supervision is now being applied to the massage profession.

These sessions are all about you and what you need. You can talk about current issues with individual clients and get help in dealing with each case. Through the process of active listening and engaging with an experienced supervisor, you can come to know yourself better and learn to get your needs met outside the therapeutic relationship. As you do that many often notice that the depth of connection with their clients dramatically increases. When your boundaries are clearer and supported by your actions, your massage practice or job will also usually start blooming.

I offer regular individual phone or skype sessions for massage therapists in any stage of their business.
