massage license

I went to school in NY and have my NYS license and 1000 hrs of schooling from the Finger lakes school of massage. I am moving to Hawaii and would like to massage there. Do I just need to take the HI state board? or go to a HI school?

Answer:
You would have to contact the HI State Massage Board to find out what is needed.

Hawaii licensing
by: Mary Ellen Derwis-Balaz

I moved from Ohio to Hawaii and found them very cooperative regarding my license. This is what I did.
I contacted the board and spoke to the person directly in charge try hawaii.gov to find who that person is now. I had 680 hours in school and a license from Ohio. They accepted it all. I found out what books their written test covered. Ordered them from Amazon and studied them. Mosley's was the book of choice at the time. They allowed me to sit for a 40 question test and get my licence because of the strength of the licence from Ohio. Good luck.
