Massage Continuing Education Classes are required in most states to maintain your massage license. Some massage associations will also require that you take continuing education to maintain your membership. Each state is different so you will have to check with your state licensing board to find out what you will need for sure.

Continuing Education classes can help you to improve your massage skills and add new methods of massage to your tool bag. You can also take business and marketing classes to help you to get and keep clients coming back. There are now many online opportunities to take classes for a reasonable fee and complete them on your own time and in your own home or office.

There are short courses that you can easily do in a few hours or longer intensive courses that could take months to take. Either way it is important to plan you CE calendar to fit your schedule and spending plan. Instead of just waiting to take classes a month before your CE credits are due you can take the best classes that will be worth the money that you put into them.

There are many opportunities to take vacations and get your CE's done while you are having fun on a tropical island.

To research the providers start by researching online and get some ideas of what their background is and why they are doing this. Just because someone has been in the field for awhile doesn't mean that they can teach. There are many local teachers that you can find in your neighborhoods and schools and there are also many more nationally known teachers who usually do trainings around the country.

You can take shorter introductory courses to get some ideas of what areas you want to study. You can also get worked on by some of the certified practitioners in your area and talk to them about the courses and feel what the work is like. You will most likely be drawn to something that resonates with you and feels right to your body. Find a massage continuing education class that will be worth your time and money.
