Objectives of the Madison School of Massage Therapy
1. To create an appropriate educational program in the field of massage therapy that enables our students to acquire the knowledge and develop the skills necessary for a successful career.
2. To provide, by instruction and example, an environment that promotes the highest possible standard of professionalism, an attitude of honor and respect toward clients and fellow practitioners, and a commitment to ethical behaviors.
3. To provide a learning environment that incorporates several teaching methods (visual, auditory, hands on, and note taking), to cover the needs of a variety of students.
4. To ensure that students have necessary knowledge in anatomy and physiology, pathology, medical terminology and business as these areas relate to the practice of massage.
5. To ensure that graduates are well prepared to pass the National Certification Exam as required for licensure in the State of Alabama.
All instructors of the massage program are fully certified and authorized to teach by the Alabama Board of Massage Therapy. You will complete the massage program in 13 months. The training you will receive will give you the solid foundation you need to succeed in today's massage and bodywork market.
