The Louisiana Institute of Massage Therapy (LIMT)was started by massage therapists, is taught by massage therapists, and has been operated by massage therapists since 1987. It was founded my Susan Salvo
who is also a noted author of many books on massage.
They offer a reasonably prices 510 hour training program in massage therapy. The training focuses on the client/therapist relationship which is the most important part of a massage session. They also work to integrate the scientific part of massage with the hands on work by offering small class sizes and a low teacher/student ratio of 1 teacher for 10 students which allows for more attention to your training.
