How much insurance do you really need in this business?
Do you need a business license?


Answer:
As far as insurance goes it depends on if there are any requirements in your city/state or if it is required if you are billing insurance companies. You do really need it. It is really cheap comparatively. Not necessarily because massage can do harm to people but there are those out there who are lawsuit happy.

You do need a business license to practice massage legally. CA just changed their laws so I am not up on the whole story. Contact AMTA-CA - they would know for sure.
