I want to become a massage therapis

by Harriette
(Near Toronto Ontario)

Hello, I am just turning 50 and want to become a massage therapist. I am in good physical health and do not need to make lots of money, 4 clients a day would be enough for me. What are the obstacles I may face based on my age?

Answer:
Most massage therapists only work about 25 hours a week max even if they are young and in good physical shape. You make up for it by charging $60-$125 an hour. The only obstacles that you will have are the one's you create for yourself. Thinking that doing massage is about helping others is probably the biggest misconception people have when thinking about becoming a massage therapist. It is more about learning to take care of yourself.
