I want to be a massage therapist

i am a 15 year old male sophomore in high school.i attend at a Virginia Beach school. i want to be a massage therapist not for the money but because i want to help people and i care about there well being. i love the entire idea of massage its a passion for me. i have couple questions to ask. please reply

Answer: Going into massage only because you want to help people is what often leads to burnout in the massage profession. You do have to make a good living and focus on that. Combining doing something you love and getting paid well for it is often the challenge for massage therapists but it can be done. I recommend that you go to college for a few years at least for business and marketing related classes as you will need them when you start your own massage business which is what most people do in this profession.
