About The Educated Heart
by: sphands@aol.com

I am a real fan of Nina McIntosh's book --- Educated Heart -- I selected it as a text for two of the programs I taught in - in New York State.
It stimulates wonderful class discussion and is real AND honest - as Nina McIntosh says we need not just big hearts in this work ... but educated hearts - and her focus on boundaries and anecdotes cannot be stressed enough --- yet another colleague in my geographic location lost his license by losing his sense of boundaries - of what our work is all about about --- and what it is NEVER about. So I don't think we can talk enough about boundaries - and as an educator, ask students to truly identify where their own boundaries may be unclear or weak.
