Cranial Sacral therapy is a form of myofascial release

by Jan Loomis
(Colchester, CT)

I have been doing craniosacral therapy and what I have come to call myofascial release for almost 10 years now. I have learned many different approaches to both and have come to realize that if I can be quiet inside, I instantly know where to go to work on a client. I like to say that my hands are intuitive, but truly, after doing this work for a while, I have found that I can tap into my client's wisdom and ask for help. Because every person's body is all about healing, each person's wisdom knows exactly what is needed and how much will be tolerated in any given session. My clients really do all the work but I love being the facilitator!
