Approaching Chi Nei Tsang thru education
There will always be the question hanging in the air regarding continuing education. Should I or shouldn’t I? I don’t have to in my state. My practice is doing just fine. Blah, blah, blah.
Yes continuing education courses are ways of learning new tools to enrich our practice but they are also provide opportunities for us to enrich ourselves. How can a practitioner truly instruct a client in the ways of vibrant health if they do not go there themselves?
There are many different modalities to choose from. Hot stones, deep tissue, CranioSacral. Why not try something totally different? Why not enter the wonderful world of Asian Bodywork with Chi Nei Tsang abdominal chi massage.
The belly is a part of the body that many therapists are somewhat leery of. Because of the complexity of abdominal massage many schools concentrate on the basics of massage to the musculoskeletal system providing 700+ hours to provide practitioners with solid foundation to work within this system. Abdominal massage, many times, is left for advanced exploration.
At be in the tao that exploration is encouraged and supported. Classes in the Fundamental theory and practice of Asian Bodywork and the meridian systems are offered as well as opportunity for advanced clinical practice within each meridian system.
Classes cover Taoist five element theory (fire, water, wood, earth, metal) and its relationship to our everyday lives. Once you understand the concept you as a practitioner will be able to translate it into an understandable format for your clients. Within this you will learn why we eat at certain times, eliminate at certain times, and sleep at certain times. How the seasons affect our health and how one goes about strengthening specific organ systems using meditation, breath, massage and basic information.
Becoming a Chi Nei Tsang practitioner is a commitment to health as it is expressed thru the chi of eating, breathing, sound, meditation and massage. It is a practical system that will not only transform your practice. It will transform your self.
