Back Pain Massage

Back Pain Massage can help alleviate all sorts of back and neck

pain especially pain due to muscle pain and dysfunction. Back pain can be anything from a slight strain, a pulled muscle to a herniated disc. It can be the pain due to arthritis or other conditions such as fibromyalgia or recovery from surgery or a car accident.

Most back pain can actually be attributed to those 'knots' in your muscle tissue. Those so called knots are actually called 'triggerpoints'. A triggerpoint (TrP) is a highly irritable spot in a muscle that can cause pain in the spot that it is in or it can also refer pain to other areas. There are many home programs to treat triggerpoints and relieve pain. There are also many massage therapists trained to work with triggerpoints and muscle pain of all types.

Low back pain is one of the most common types of back pain due to the strain that it is put on it daily from sitting for long periods on the computer, working in the yard, doing manual labor, standing all day or from so called bad posture.

There are as many types of therapies and cures for back pain as there are doctors, Physical therapists and massage therapists that work with back pain. Finding the right therapy for you may at first seem overwhelming. Keep looking and don't stop until you achieve the freedom from back pain that you deserve.
