Applied Kinesiology

Applied kinesiology (AK)is not a method of massage but is a type of physical evaluation system first developed in 1964 by George Goodheart who was a chiropractor. Many types of practitioners now use this form of muscle testing or have added their own things to it. It has advanced beyond Goodhearts initial use of it for addressing muscle function evaluation.

The basic theory of applied kinesiology evolves around their triad of health model where illnesses will manifest in the body as chemical, mental or structural imbalances. The testing process that is used to discover weaknesses give immediate results to what the issue is and what the answer is to the issue according to the practitioners of AK. They believe that there is a direct relationship between muscles and specific internal organs or glands.
