Acrossage - Inversion Therapy

Acrossage is a method of massage combined with acrobatics developed by Benjamin Marantz, a professional acrobat and circus clown in the 1980’s.

This from www.massageclassifieds.com

Acrossage is basically a combination of massage and acrobatics. It is when the massage patient is literally suspended upside down using the hands or the feet of the practitioner. This form of massage therapy can provides a test for trust and surrender. If you aren’t able to trust yourself and surrender yourself to your partner’s ability and will to hold you in place, this might not be the right therapy for you. (It is also known as Inverted Therapy.)

This from www.acrossage.org the site of Benjamin Marantz.

AcroSage (acro = heightened / sage = wisdom) a transformational inverted meditation & massage technique where one is literally suspended upside down on the hands and feet of the therapist. Here one experiences a weightless, floating sensation and easily becomes aware of any tension they may be holding in their body. Here we use guided imagery and conscious breathing techniques to release these tensions. As one feels safe, in these inverted postures, profound relaxation takes over allowing one to experience their magnificent body temples in an extraordinary new way.
